VisitScotland Ayrshire & Arran worked with VisitScotland Glasgow to take a joint stand at Tur in Gothenburg. Tur is the largest Scandinavian tourism fare and attracted over 42 thousand visitors.

Working with the Benelux and Scandinavia team, Ayrshire & Arran staffed a large stand alongside The Whisky Coast and Machrihanish Dunes.

VisitScotland invited over 200 Leisure Agents / Business Tourism contacts, Media and Journalists to visit the stand providing snacks made with Scottish produce and whisky tasting and offering a great chance to make contacts and promote Ayrshire and Arran on a personal level.

With direct flights from Gothenburg and Stockholm into Glasgow Prestwick, the show was the perfect platform for reaching the Swedish audience. There are over 600,000 golfers in Sweden and statistics show that the most popular holiday activity is shopping. This makes Glasgow and Ayrshire the perfect city plus destination.
