Wonderful Wildlife of Dumfries & Galloway
A new booklet about the best places to see wildlife in Dumfries & Galloway has been launched.
'Welcome to Wildlife in Dumfries & Galloway' has been funded by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) and published in partnership with the Dumfries & Galloway Environmental Resources Centre (DGERC). It updates and improves a popular booklet that was first published in 2001.
The free 24 page booklet is fully illustrated and gives local people and visitors an introduction to the wildlife of Dumfries & Galloway.
This booklet is targeted at the increasing number of local people and visitors who are realising just how rich the natural heritage of Dumfries & Galloway is. The new booklet should help to introduce more people to the wildlife of the area and enhance their experience and enjoyment of their days out. In particular it will help tourism businesses provide useful information to their visitors on where to go and what to see.
