Glasgow news in brief

Networking events, the launch of ‘The Worlds’ and more good news for Kelvingrove.

April / May networking events from Glasgow Chamber
Glasgow Chamber has organised two key networking events for local businesses in the next few weeks. April’s Networking Evening will be held on Wednesday 30 April at Springfield Quay’s unique new entertainment venue Alea Glasgow. If you can’t make that, there’s always the Speed Networking Lunch on 16 May at Glasgow Marriott. Further info and booking from www.glasgowchamberonline.org

Kelvingrove overtakes Manhattan’s MoMA
A survey for the Art newspaper has indicated that Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum has passed New York’s MoMA and the Uffizi in Florence for visitor numbers, two thirds of whom were tourist visitors from outside the city. Kelvingrove’s position in the Scotland table of visitor figures will be revealed in next month’s eUpdate following the publication of the annual Visitor Attraction Monitor.
