Two music festivals are due to hit the right notes in April and May.
The Orkney Jazz Festival runs from 25-27 April 2008. Based at the Stromness Hotel, this is a weekend of mainly traditional jazz by visiting and local performers, which includes the now traditional Annual Jazz Festival Service of Praise at St Magnus Church, Birsay, led by Bill Salmond's Louisiana Ragtime Band.
