Scottish Thistle Awards opens for entries

Tourism businesses and young entrepreneurs from are being encouraged to put themselves forward for Scotland's top tourism awards, the Scottish Thistle Awards, which opened for nominations on Thursday 10th April.

The awards honour tourism businesses that excel through quality and innovation and are widely recognised as one of the top accolades in the industry.

The 17th Scottish Thistle Awards will see the introduction of two new categories, one for young entrepreneurs and another which celebrates businesses that work in collaboration with other tourism related organisations across local authority boundaries.

In total there are 11 nomination categories this year and businesses can enter as many as applicable to their individual achievements. The closing date for entries is Thursday, 5th June.

The finalists will be announced in September with the overall winners announced at the glittering Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Friday 24th October.
