What's on in February

If your guests are looking for activities this February, there are a number of regular events going on which might appeal:

  • The Bonhoga Gallery offers a year-round exhibition and touring programme that presents 72 shows a year and operates an outreach and education activity programme. Daily exhibitions are on throughout February in the Yell Leisure Centre, the Unst Leisure Centre, Sumburgh Airport, Whalsay Leisure Centre and the Peerie Shop Café in Lerwick.   • The Shetland Museum and Archives is hosting an exhibition on St Kilda, featuring a 16 minute film’ St Kilda, Britain’s loneliest isle’, showing throughout the day, and on 21st February at 7.30pm, a lecture will be given by St Kilda archaeologist Sam Davies, entitled ‘Leaving St Kilda’.
  • Changing art exhibitions are on display on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays at Vaila Fine Art, 61 Commercial Street, Lerwick from 11am to 5pm.
  • Traditional music sessions, featuring music from Shetland and the rest of Scotland, are held in the Lounge Bar, Mounthooly St, Lerwick from 9.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
