A number of Dutch tour operators will be adding Shetland to their 2008 itineraries following a trip to VisitScotland Expo, held last month in Aberdeen, and an associated familiarisation trip to Shetland.

Jeanne Scholts, of Scan Britain, a tour operator based in Blokker, northern Holland, was so impressed with Shetland and the tourism trade fair in Aberdeen she has dedicated an entire page of her company’s website to the promotion of a round tip to Scotland, featuring Shetland and Orkney.

Ludo Sidlerx from a Dutch-based motorcycle touring company, Motoerit Motorcycletours, was also impressed with Shetland and will be including a tour of the islands in his programme for 2008.
