Loganair has announced an increase in the number of low cost flights to residents in the Northern Isles.
Following the Scottish Government's promise to extend a discount scheme, Loganair will offer an additional 50,000 permanent low fares on on its routes as part of the Air Discount Scheme, giving residents of Orkney, Shetland, the Western Isles, Caithness and north-west Sutherland, 40% discounts on the costs of core flights.
The airline also revealed that it would be introducing an extra weekday flight on the Kirkwall to Aberdeen and Shetland to Aberdeen routes.
