New technology to be used at Enchanted Forest
Research has shown that VisitScotland has to adapt and provide visitors with information in different ways using new channels. Over the past few months, new technology has been trialled which will allow the local VisitScotland team to offer an information and booking facility at external events. The aim is to deliver these important services to the visitor in locations other than the Tourist Information Centre.
A good example of this kind of pilot project is the use of a mobile information unit at Fishers Hotel, Pitlochery for the duration of the Enchanted Forest: Friday 20 October – Sat 28 October and Sunday 29 October – Sunday 5 November.
Visitors will be able to gain both local and national information on accommodation, events, eating out, local facilities and so on. They will also be able to make accommodation bookings for their immediate stay or for future visits. The opportunity to enter a Weekend Break in Perthshire competition during the period of the Enchanted Forest will also be available.
