Who Cares Wins Feedback Cards – 1000 Returns

Who Cares Wins has reached a milestone – the 1000th feedback card has been returned, with comments on over 200 different businesses throughout the islands. Bed and Breakfasts and Guesthouses are the highest scoring sector to date and with shining stars like Hillside Bed and Breakfast on the Isle of Barra, that high score is set to soar.

Hillside Bed and Breakfast opened in July this year and has received dozens of cards. They are the only business to have received 100% excellent scores across the board. The owner, Doreen MacNeil, was delighted to receive this feedback as she feels it lets her know her business is moving in the right direction.

Stepping Stone Restaurant in Balivanich is another establishment stepping in the right direction towards excellence. Since the launch of Who Cares Wins in May, the restaurant has received a tremendous quantity of feedback and the quality is most definitely there too. The restaurant's attention to detail is apparent with comments such as “quality food” and “reasonable prices” featuring in the feedback cards time and time again. The restaurant has received consistently excellent feedback in all areas and is to be commended for setting such a shining example.

Ann Quarm, Manager of Stepping Stone Restaurant said “We are delighted to be recognised for our quality of service and food; this positive feedback will really boost the staff. Who Cares Wins is a great initiative and one we are very happy to be involved in.”

Other businesses to have received excellent feedback in August and September include, Nunton Steadings, Isle of Benbecula and Digby Chick, Isle of Lewis.

Lorna Macaulay, Western Isles Enterprise’s (WIE) Head of Developing Skills and Customer Services added, “WIE are really delighted to see so many small local businesses engaging in and benefiting from the feedback received via Who Cares Wins. We have a real challenge now over the autumn and winter seasons to keep the momentum going and would urge local consumer to continue completing cards on their service experiences. Who Cares Wins cards can be picked up in many shops, cafes, restaurants, hotels and offices and used to comment on any service experience, not just the establishment in which you pick up the card.”
