What can be done to enhance the Isle of Harris? Have your say

The Isle of Harris has been selected to bid for funding from a range of agencies including the Heritage Lottery Fund. If successful the money will help fund projects to protect, enhance and promote a wide range of heritage projects.

A major part of the scheme is to promote projects brought forward by the whole community and to date over 100 projects have been suggested including, improvements to the footpath network, signage, provision of more information, better access to archaeological sites, increasing the opportunities for understanding the heritage, festivals and events to promote aspects of island life, managing and recreating wildlife habitats and training in traditional Island skills (Dry Stane Dyking and Weaving).

The community is keen to hear from you and what you feel we could do to improve and enhance your experience and enjoyment of Harris. To support this initiative you can complete a short questionnaire by clicking here and please forward on to as many people as possible.
