Success of Gaelic Ring brings 5 new journeys

A journey into the heart of the Gaelic world has been so successful that five new trips are to be launched. The first of the Gaelic Rings, or Cearcaill na Gàidhlig, was launched in July and is based on Caledonian MacBrayne’s Islands Hopscotch route taking in Oban, Barra, Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula, North Uist, Skye and Mallaig.

Gaelic film premiers in Edinburgh

Seachd – The Inaccessible Pinnacle received its world premiere on the 16th August at the 61st Edinburgh International Film Festival. Directed by Simon Miller and produced by Christopher Young. The film is a collaboration between Gaelic writers, actors, crew, vocalists and musicians to make a film set in modern day Scotland.
