September is Scottish Archaeology Month and as one of the world’s best locations for archaeology, boasting a host of well preserved Neolithic villages, burial tombs and stone circles, Orkney is playing a part.
On 22 September visitors can enjoy a full day exploring the archaeological and heritage trails around Eday. Highlights include the Setter Stone, Vinquoy chambered cairn and a range of sites that are still to be fully uncovered on the Calf of Eday. Bookings are essential – call Anne on 07980 148004.
