Architects Reiach & Hall recently won the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland Andrew Doolan Award 2007 for their work on Stromness' Pier Arts Centre.
The centre, which re-opened in July following the completion of a £4.5 m project, was one of seven short listed buildings across Scotland, beating off stiff competition from the likes of Princes Gate in Edinburgh and Hazelwood School in Glasgow.
The architects won a cash prize of £25,000.
