Orkney is to be showcased alongside some of the world’s leading travel destinations at a major travel event in London next month.

Local tourism agency VisitOrkney is attending ‘Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show’ for the very first time, with staff available to provide information and advice to discerning travellers looking for something that bit different.

More than 300 travel companies from across the world will be exhibiting at the event. As well as getting first-hand professional holiday advice, visitors to the show will also be able to hear explorers, travel experts and writers share their travelling tales, including former BBC war correspondent Martin Bell.
