Orkney Marinas was the first group in Orkney to successfully secure VisitScotland’s Challenge Fund and other local businesses are now being urged to take advantage.

The VisitScotland Challenge Fund is available for new, collaborative marketing projects from groups of tourism businesses that have a strong customer focus and that operate at either local or national level. Funds from £2,500 to £65,000 can be awarded to groups consisting of three or more tourism businesses for up to 40% of the project’s total expenditure.

The deadline for round eight is 28 February 2007 for activities taking place between 1 May 2007 and 31 April 2008. .
