Tourist Board Training - gearing up for Homecoming

2009 is the year of Homecoming Scotland, aimed at encouraging Scots, those with a Scottish background, or those who have a fondness for the country to visit Scotland.  Ancestry is one of the main themes of the project and one way for businesses to benefit is to join the Ancestral Welcome scheme.

Tourist Board Training's online Ancestral Tourism course is available anytime and is ideal for tourism operators who have an interest in meeting the specific needs of Ancestral tourists, for example; accommodation providers, libraries, museums, tourist information centres and visitor centres. It has been developed to recognise the growing ancestral tourism market and to ensure that all tourism operators are maximising the potential benefits to their business. The cost to participate in this activity is £25.00 per person and it takes 10 – 14 hours to complete, and can be done at your leisure over a period of time.
