New European campaign to attract year-round visitors

2008 marks the fifth year of the ‘Scotland - Welcome to our Life’ Pan-European Touring Campaign, VisitScotland’s key international brand campaign.
Car touring continues to be the largest leisure tourism market to Scotland from Europe and this year's campaign focuses on one of the levers for growth: capacity utilisation, which aims to address issues of seasonality and extend the visitor season.
The new online calendar themes each month of the year and highlights the best things to see and do in Scotland at that time. For example, the site suggests that April is the perfect month to take an adventure trip in Scotland, with July a good month to go island-hopping and December the ideal month to take a festive break.
The monthly themes are:
