Feeling blue after the Festive period? Why not treat yourself either to an enchanting afternoon of astrofun combining indoor and outdoor cosmic activities for young and old, including Starlab planetarium shows, comet-making, rocket launching and rocks from space; or an energizing evening of stargazing and astrofun.

The events are hosted by three snowdrop gardens to deliver special events during the Scottish Snowdrop Festival to help visitors enjoy the sparkling white stars of Scotland’s clear winter skies.

Events are taking place at the following locations:

• Cambo Estate, Thistle Award Winner 2007, on Saturday 2nd February 2008
• Castle Kennedy near Stranraer on Saturday 16th February 2008
• Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh on Saturday 15th March 2008

Events can be booked for the first time online using Paypal and a range of credit cards following the set up of VisitScotland’s first online event booking service through partners TS.com.

Tickets cost £7.50 (inclusive of an exclusive 20% online discount, subjective to availability) and inclusive of parking and a complimentary star chart.

52 gardens, woodlands and estates across Scotland are taking part in the Scottish Snowdrop Festival which starts on 1st February 2008.

New participants include:

  • Mount Stuart Gardens and Grounds on the Isle of Bute;
  • Scone Palace, Perth;
