2008 Asia and Middle East Travel Trade Activities – Get Involved

If you are interested the Asia and Middle East market, here’s an overview of this year’s opportunities for you.

Scotland Trade Update for Asia and Middle East markets is published twice a year, in April and November. Printed in Simplified Chinese, Japanese and English, both issues will be distributed at key travel trade events.

If you prefer to speak to your customers directly, then Destination Britain is a great opportunity for you to meet travel trade representatives from key Asia Pacific markets. The annual, 3-day event is organised by VisitBritain and will be held in Australia this year.

In September, the Japan Sales Mission is an ideal opportunity to establish relationships with key Japanese media. You will have the opportunity to meet travel trade decision-makers and key media at various workshops.

Following the success of the 2007 China Sales Mission and Golf Day, we are planning another mission in 2008. This is another perfect opportunity for Scottish travel trade to meet up with key decision makers and key media in China, over 4-5 days, through a series of workshop, sales calls and networking events.

Lastly, www.BookingScotland.com is a travel information site for global travel trade audience; all subscribers receive regular e-newsletters with Scottish travel trade news provided by Scottish suppliers. A list of participating Scottish suppliers, together with their travel deals, is available for search by global audience.
