Women are being asked which Scottish celebrity they would most like to receive a diamond from in their Christmas stocking this year as part of a nationwide campaign to attract winter visitors to Scotland.

Hollywood actor Ewan McGregor, Paisley singing sensation Paolo Nutini, Dr Who star David Tennant and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay are among the Scottish stars visitors to www.visitscotland.com/white are being asked to choose from.

The online, celebrity poll is part of VisitScotland’s Winter White Campaign which encourages visitors to take a break north of the border this winter by showing them all the amazing seasonal, white things they can do and see.

Hotels across Scotland are participating in the campaign by offering special winter accommodation deals. The campaign also sees VisitScotland partnering with key brands including Johnston’s Cashmere, Cream of Galloway, Hamilton & Inches and Wiseman Dairies in a range of marketing activities. Electronic mailings, a ‘white’ website and joint promotions will all be used to encourage visitors from around the UK to take a winter break in Scotland.

One lucky visitor to the Winter White website, www.visitscotland.com/white will win a diamond from Hamilton & Inches.
