STF Open Meeting, 5th Dec, Glasgow

Find out how tourism businesses can best profit from events and festival at STF's next Open Meeting ‘Rising to the Event; profiting through event collaboration’ at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Wednesday 5th December.

Scott Taylor, Chief Executive of Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, (pictured) will address delegates on the impact which the Bureau's 'Glasgow: Scotland with Style' brand has had on the city.

Other speakers include:

• Lynne McPhee, Deputy Bid Director and Head of Marketing for Glasgow will outline the potential benefits of Glasgow's successful bid for the Commonwealth Games.

• Fiona Hampton, Project Director of Highland 2007, will give an overview of the festival to date.

• Fiona Murray, Forest Tourism Initiative Manager, Forestry Commission Scotland, will discuss innovative campaigns, such as The Enchanted Forest, which extend seasonality.

• Mike Jardine, Director of Rare Management, will explain the impact of the recent World Mountain Bike Championships, held in Fort William.
