Some of Scotland’s famous faces joined forces to entice thousands of Londoners to come to Scotland earlier this month. The London Gathering, which was sponsored by VisitScotland, was a two day cultural event showcasing the best of Scotland in the heart of London.

Celebrities including Nick Nairn, Sandi Thom, Clare Grogan, Monarch of the Glen star Alistair Mackenzie and Hardeep Singh Kohli took part in the showcase of music, dance, food, drink and fashion. The event was attended by thousands of visitors.

VisitScotland’s promotion of Scotland at the event included a 120 metre long poster using some of our most spectacular scenery. The poster was the first to run along the Embankment and was seen by over 600,000 consumers over the three weeks it was on display.

VisitScotland’s Head of Marketing for the UK and Ireland, Alistair Gronbach said: “This event marks the start of a major VisitScotland advertising campaign kicking off in the London Underground and Kings Cross Station to show London commuters that Scotland’s a must visit destination, must return destination.”
