Scottish Enterprise Sustainable Tourism Conference - 2 October 2007

Scottish Enterprise’s Sustainable Tourism Conference will take place on 2 October 2007 hosted by well-known writer and broadcaster Muriel Gray. This event aims to promote good practice and will provide first hand accounts in sustainable tourism success from Justin Francis of responsibletravel.com, Auden Schendler of the Aspen Snow Mass, Sarah Rooney of The Rezidor Group and Peter Grant of globaltrees.co.uk as well as insights from the Cairngorm and Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park Authorities, Strattons Hotel & Restaurant, Norfolk, Wilderness Scotland and Centre for Alternative Technology.

Delegates will find out what customers really think about environmental issues, hear about the benefits to their business, as well as the environment, of being more sustainable, and learn from tried and tested good practice in sustainable tourism from individual tourism businesses and destinations that have recognised the importance of sustainability, endorsed it within their business and are commercially viable.
