Tourist Board Training (TBT) develops and co-ordinates innovative, flexible and sustainable learning opportunities and recently became a Learndirect Scotland branded learning centre by meeting the high quality of standards required.
TBT’s workshops are designed to enhance the skills of tourism operators and have been developed to recognise the growing niche markets and also to ensure that all tourism operators are maximising the potential benefits to their business. These workshops provide the first step in accessing VisitScotland Quality Assurance Welcome Schemes.

Ancestral Tourism Online
This course has been developed to give participants an introduction to Scotland’s ancestral tourism initiative and equip them to provide advice and assistance to ancestral tourists locally. It is aimed at frontline staff in tourism businesses including accommodation establishments, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions. The online product is currently being piloted so please look out for the launch of Ancestral Tourism Online in June 2007.
Cairngorms Connections Online
The online course will provide information about the tourism product in the Cairngorms National Park (CNP) and will increase the learner’s awareness of the importance of good knowledge and customer relations in promoting Scotland’s National Parks. The online product is currently being piloted with the official launch of Cairngorms Connections Online taking place soon so watch this space!
