EatScotland has announced the first ever winners of its newly launched Silver Awards in a move that is set to raise the bar in the Scottish eating out scene.
A total of 48 establishments have been declared EatScotland Silver Award winners, a reflection of the individual establishments high standards of cuisine, service and the overall eating out experience.
The EatScotland Silver & Gold Awards will recognise outstanding standards in dining out across Scotland, whether they are Michelin restaurants or cafes, tea rooms or the local chippie. They have been launched in a bid to boost standards in eating establishments across Scotland and celebrate excellence, and ultimately boost tourism by changing perceptions of Scottish cuisine on a worldwide scale.
Silver Awards will reflect an establishment’s high standards in terms of the overall eating out experience, including the food, the ambience and service. Establishments such as the Coach House Coffee Shop in Luss, Kinloch Lodge in Skye and the Red Onion in Glasgow are just some of the few establishments to be awarded this accolade.
Silver Award holders will be eligible for consideration to achieve the Gold Award, which will signify that an establishment qualifies as an excellent eating out experience in Scotland.
