VisitScotland comes out top at New York awards ceremony

VisitScotland’s International PR team is celebrating after picking up Platinum, Gold and Silver excellence awards at a glittering ceremony in New York.

The national tourism organisation was honoured for their public relations work on their US magazine placement campaign at the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Adrian Awards ceremony.

The Platinum and Gold prizes were presented for articles placed in US lifestyle magazines, focusing on Scotland’s rich larder and the many exciting opportunities there are for tourists to explore the variety of fresh food and produce the country has to offer. The team also won a Silver award for its highly successful ‘Date a Hot Scot’ campaign.

The Adrian Awards are presented by the HSMAI and recognise creative brilliance and best practice in hospitality, travel, and tourism-related marketing. The competition attracted more than 1,200 entries from 36 countries.
