Tartan Week is an annual event in the US celebrating the contribution that the Scots have made to America. Tartan Day takes place on 6 April each year, and a wealth of celebrations, activities and events take place around this date. The main focus of the celebrations is in New York, and following the success of its debut in 2005 and its return in 2006, VisitScotland will again feature the ‘Scottish Village’ at this year's event in Vanderbilt Hall, New York, showcasing all aspects of Scottish life.

There are various opportunities to become involved in VisitScotland’s Tartan Day activities:

• Participation in Sales Mission prior to Tartan Week - an opportunity to meet with key tour operators and wholesalers as part of a Scotland Sales Mission visiting Toronto, Boston and New York.
