Potential visitors to Glasgow are being lured to the city by a new marketing initiative that allows them to build their own Glasgow movie.
It’s part of a new online campaign by VisitScotland with partner Guardian Unlimited, where visitors answer questions about their ideal city break, and then get to watch a short, tailor-made film about the city compiled by their answers.
The movie guides, in versions for both Glasgow and Edinburgh, are cut together from visitors’ responses to questions about their preferences for shopping, culture, eating and drinking and city experiences.
Depending on your answers, you could then watch a Glasgow movie where you eat out at Oran Mor, shop at Gallety & Tubbs and visit Kelvingrove before heading out to a gig at King Tut’s.
A trip to the top of the Glasgow Tower, a luxury dinner at Brian Maule’s Le Chardon D’Or, a tour of The Lighthouse and designer shopping at Cruise are among some of the other ‘scenes’ that visitors can cut into their perfect Glasgow trip.
You can take the test and watch your own Glasgow movie at: www.guardian-visitscotland.co.uk/visit_scotland
