Which are you: mentor or rising star? An exciting new initiative from the Edinburgh and Glasgow Collaboration Project has been developed to encourage new ideas and leadership skills amongst young tourism operators, with the support of experienced mentors.

The project, titled innovation eg, is now recruiting both mentors and rising stars from both cities to take part.

Innovation eg encourages collaborative thinking between young professionals and more experienced leaders in their sector. The aim is to develop a range of projects to help attract new visitors to both cities within the key product areas of food, whisky, culture, retail and adventure.

If you are passionate about tourism and have worked in the industry for less than 10 years, you may be the rising star that we are looking for.

Mentors will be experienced operators who would like to give something back to the industry, and will be available for just an hour or so a week to work with the ‘rising stars’.
