Gourock Highland Games has received a financial boost of £10,000 for next year through EventScotland's Regional Events Programme.
The event, which has been running for more than 50 years, is one of Scotland's first Highland Games of the year, and will take place on 11 May 2008.
The funds will be used to provide temporary seating within the main arena and support a marketing campaign aimed at attracting more visitors to the area.
The next deadline for applications to the programme is 8 February 2008 and is open to events taking place between July 2008 and June 2009.
