Running from 15-25 February, the 3rd Glasgow Film Festival will screen more than 90 films in a wide-ranging programme of UK premieres and special events.
And as part of VisitScotland’s online Festival promotion, we’re inviting accommodation providers in Glasgow to submit special offers for the duration of the festival period.
The 2007 Festival includes eagerly awaited titles as Robert De Niro’s all star drama The Good Shepherd, Clint Eastwood’s award-winning Letters From Iwo Jima, Woody Allen’s Scoop with Hugh Jackman and Scarlett Johansson and Werner Herzog’s thrilling adventure story Rescue Dawn with Christian Bale.
The Festival opens with the UK premiere of Cashback, a lyrical romantic comedy starring Scottish actor Sean Biggerstaff alongside Emilia Fox and Shaun Evans, who will all attend the Glasgow premiere with the director and producer.
Other highlights include a celebration of John Wayne for his centenary year and a hotly anticipated UK premiere of Oscar contender Curse Of The Golden Flower starring Gong Li and Chow Yun Fat—screening on the evening of the Oscars themselves!
As in its first two years, VisitScotland is sponsoring the festival and this year’s support will include a dedicated section on our city breaks site www.visitscotland.com/citybreaks
The Glasgow Film Festival section will include information on the stars, premieres and special events, as well as other information on what to see and do in the city during a short break in February.
We’re also inviting accommodation providers in Glasgow to submit special festival offers to help stimulate short breaks from movie buffs.
If you have an accommodation business and would like to discuss submitting a Glasgow Film Festival promotional offer for booking via visitscotland.com, please contact one of the local relationship managers, Keith Paterson on 0141 566 4009 or keith.paterson@visitscotland.com or Gordon Smith on 0141 566 4010 or gordon.smith@visitscotland.com
