Business Tourism Conference 2006 Wednesday 22 November Radisson SAS Glasgow
Customer service, PR and trends are the focus of the parallel sessions at this year’s Business Tourism Conference at Glasgow’s Radisson SAS Hotel next month.
Business owners and senior managers in the conference, meetings and corporate hospitality sectors are being urged to sign up quickly for this year’s Scottish Enterprise Business Tourism Conference, held in partnership with VisitScotland's Business Tourism Unit on Wednesday 22 November at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Glasgow.
At the parallel sessions, delegates will hear from best-practice venues such as Edinburgh's Balmoral Hotel, the innovative London-based ‘etc. venues’, and the Eden Project, voted Best UK Unusual Venue 2006.
A key customer from the pharmaceutical industry, Kurt Nagel, President of the International Pharmaceutical Congress Advisory Association (IPCAA), will travel from Switzerland to speak on new regulations and future trends in this key market. Martin Lewis, Managing Editor of M&IT Magazine will share his top ten tips on working with the press.
Now in its fourth year, the Business Tourism Conference is firmly established as the must-attend opportunity to share ideas, identify trends and build connections within the Scottish business tourism industry.
A range of international and local guest speakers will share examples of best practice to help local businesses maximise opportunities in this lucrative yet demanding market, worth £1 billion annually to Scotland's economy.
Among the speakers this year will be Christian Mutschlechner, Director of Vienna Convention Bureau and President of the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA). Christian will share the reasons why this year Vienna has yet again won the accolade of top global destination for international meetings.
Roger Tondeur, President of the MCI Group, Europe's largest event organiser, and Patrick Delaney, of the Dublin-based company Ovation, will also share their perspectives as major event buyers.
