New mappe in ye olde TIC shoppe

Visitors to Glasgow tourist information centre can now have a new perspective on the city thanks to a new free map highlighting the key medieval sites.

Launched earlier this month, the high-quality, embossed map turns the spotlight on the 26 key historical places that define the city’s development from 1150 to 1550. The trail includes Glasgow Cathedral and the oldest house, Provand’s Lordship.

Produced in association with the West of Scotland Archaeology Service, the map is part of a wider initiative by Glasgow City Council to promote understanding of the city’s medieval history.
