Flyglobespan announces Glasgow-Boston route
Flyglobespan has announced it is to launch a new daily service between Glasgow and Boston from May 2007.
The new direct flight, secured with assistance from the Scottish Executive’s Route Development Fund, will run daily during the summer and continue through the winter on a reduced service of three flights per week.
“Any new route to the USA is great news for Glasgow and Scotland, but a direct Boston flight has been missed over the last decade,” said VisitScotland area director Tom McWilliam, “Having the route back in place opens up enormous opportunity for us in the American market in both business and leisure tourism.”
Transport Minister Tavish Scott described Boston as “one of the most influential cities in America.”
