Kingdom set to take a walk on the wild side

VisitScotland Fife has launched a new walking campaign to capitalise on a recent study revealing Scotland as one of the best places in the world for walking.

According to the research, renowned and memorable scenery, a wide diversity of easily accessible walks – from beach to mountain summits, an abundance of ‘safe’ wildlife and the opportunity to experience Scottish culture and heritage through the course of a walk all play their part in making Scotland the ideal walking holiday destination, a country created for walking.

In order to take advantage of this lucrative market VisitScotland Fife will undertake a range of promotional activities including an insert in the national walking direct mail going out to 60,000 contacts; 50,000 to walking contacts who have previously visited Scotland for walking holidays and 10,000 who have shown an interest in Walking in Scotland. A Kingdom of Fife walking postcard will also be inserted in Country Walking magazine, a circulation of 23,000.
