VisitScotland activity with easyJet aims to boost capital’s southern visitors

The second phase of VisitScotland’s joint marketing activity with easyJet in the UK, which aims to promote short breaks to Scotland and raise awareness of the availability of low cost direct flights to Edinburgh and other Scottish cities from the South, is underway.

The activity, which has run throughout February and into March, builds on the local press and online advertising elements of the joint campaign that was run in autumn last year. 25,000 bookings were generated in the first two weeks of the campaign. The current activity includes:

• Weekly adverts in local media around the key departure airports of London Luton, London Stansted, London Gatwick, Bristol and Belfast.
• Weekly adverts in the southern editions of national press.
• Online advertising.
• London Underground 48 sheet cross track posters across 75 sites (placed for 2 weeks in February).
