New Visitor Information point in Linlithgow
A new Visitor Information point will be based at the County Buildings, Linlithgow from Easter Friday onwards.
VisitScotland, and West Lothian Council staff have been working closely together to plan the delivery of this new service. The new Visitor Information service will be delivered by the Council Information Service (CIS) staff based at the County Buildings and by VisitScotland staff at the weekend. The CIS staff have participated in VisitScotland training in order to prepare them for their extended customer service role.
A new site was required for the delivery of visitor information, as the Burgh Halls, where the original Tourist Information Centre is based, is getting ready for extensive redevelopment. A modern visitor information service and craft shop has been incorporated into renovation plans for the Burgh Halls.
The new Visitor Information service will offer:
- Information on local attractions, events and activities - Information on key attractions in other neighbouring areas - An accommodation booking service
The Visitor Information point will be an all year round service. Summer opening hours will be:
- Monday to Thursday: 08.30am – 17.00pm - Friday: 08.30am – 16.00pm - Saturday: 10.00 – 18.00pm - Sunday: 12.00 – 18.00pm
