New Lothian leaflets launched

New ‘what to see and do’ guides for East Lothian and Midlothian have been launched. Produced as a complement to the main Edinburgh & Lothians Holiday Guide and Essential Guide, the Visit East Lothian and Visit Midlothian guides are produced every 2 years to inform the potential visitor what excellent variety sits on Edinburgh’s doorstep, from golf to beach walks and country parks and historical attractions dating back centuries.
With an initial print run of 40,000 of each leaflet, the guides will be placed in local tourist information centres and key attractions, shops, restaurants and accommodation in the surrounding regions. For the first time, the ‘Visit’ guides will also be available online at www.edinburgh.org and other VisitScotland and partner websites.
Also new for 2008, the guides will feature ‘Did you know?’ sections, Events and Festivals panel, inclusion of Mary, Queen of Scots Trail – www.edinburgh.org/queenofscots - and new and updated maps including mention of the full John Muir Way walk in East Lothian.
