The official new Edinburgh City Region website, www.edinburgh–inspiringcapital.com was launched on the 8th February. It provides a wealth of information for prospective visitors, investors, students and residents.

The visit section has been developed in close co-operation with VisitScotland and the Edinburgh Convention Bureau and showcases the region as a world leading business and leisure tourist destination.

The innovative site features over 10 minutes of DVD footage, providing visitors with an insight into this most beautiful of city regions. The online brochure, available to download and browse online, provides a useful introduction to the city region and is packed full of facts and figures.

This is the first time that the city region has been able to cross sell its benefits to a range of different audiences. For example, a tourist visiting Edinburgh may subsequently decide they want to study here or move their business and family here, in which case the information presented in the VISIT, STUDY, INVEST and LIVE sections will all be of interest.

As well as promoting the area, the website aims to become a vital tool for the city region’s tourism organisations by assisting with recruitment and induction processes.
