Edinburgh boasts great line up of events this spring

Visitors to Edinburgh and Lothians this spring will have plenty to keep them entertained with some great events taking place over March and April.
Edinburgh International Science Festival 2008 marks the Edinburgh International Festival’s 20th birthday and it is running from 25th March to 5th April with 12 days of awe inspiring and spectacular events for all the family. Families will be able to enter a burial chamber to unwrap an Egyptian mummy or take a journey through and Amazon jungle at night at Wonderama. Ceilidh Culture Although only in its 6th year, Ceilidh Culture is now a firm favourite on the world music calendar. Taking place from 21st March to 13th April. Programme highlights for 2008 include BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner Julie Fowlis, Brooklyn born and raised songstress Kris Delmhorst and the vastly influential Billy Joe Shaver whose songs have been recorded by the likes of Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. Celebration Weekend at the National Museum of Scotland The National Museum of Scotland welcomes everyone along to a spectacular weekend of music, dancing, art and history to mark the start of the Royal Museum Project on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April.
