Snowdrop Festival to Help Gardens Blossom
Edinburgh’s Royal Botanic Garden, Macplants in Pencaitland and the House of Binns in Linlithgow are all taking part in a new initiative to encourage visitors to come and enjoy Scotland’s gardens.
VisitScotland has teamed up with gardens across Scotland to encourage people to visit them during the off-peak season with the launch of Scotland’s first ever Snowdrop Festival which is due to run from 1 February until 11 March.
As part of the campaign, green fingered VisitScotland staff have planted a 10m snowdrop bed in the shape of the “live it –VisitScotland” logo at London Road in Edinburgh.
The Snowdrop Festival will also be promoted online at www.visitscotland.com/gardens and through e-blasts and various PR activities.
