Camera Obscura and World of Illusions, Edinburgh’s oldest purpose built visitor attraction, welcomed its 100,000th visitor for the year on the 30 September. This is the first time in its 153 year history that the attraction has reached this landmark figure.

Manager Andrew Johnson has put the increase in visitor numbers down to two main factors: the growth of the Edinburgh Pass, which allows visitors to the Capital to visit many of the city’s top attractions and the magic bendy mirrors around the exterior of Camera Obscura and World of Illusions, which have become a huge hit with passers-by. The mirrors give visitors a taster of the fun and interactive exhibits that can be found inside the attraction.
