The Dumfries & Galloway Area Tourism Partnership (ATP) would like to invite you to the annual Tourism Industry Conference on Wednesday 27 February, at Easterbrook Hall, Crichton Campus, Dumfries.

Anna Trafford, Project Manager for the ’Outdoor Capital of the World’ www.outdoorcapital.co.uk has been invited to come along as the main speaker. Anna will share the initiative that created OCUK, tapping into existing resources, how they got businesses to work together, how the initiative has grown and what learnings we could use here in Dumfries & Galloway to develop our Outdoor product. This promises to be an interesting and informative talk as well as sparking the imaginations that we can take with us into the workshops.

The workshop format has proved to be a popular part of the tourism conference and it is your chance to share ideas, put forward points of view and network with colleagues. This year there is a diverse range of workshops available being held over three Sessions. We will also have local businesses in each workshop ready to share their experiences and hopefully stimulate some interesting debate.

There will be exhibition space available at the conference and the ATP encourage you to bring along your leaflets to swap with other businesses. This will also give you a chance to network with other businesses in the area and find out about new developments. If you would like to bring along additional exhibition materials like please contact Anne Massey on 01387 245561 to discuss ideas/requirements.

Following on from feedback from last year’s conference there is much more time for networking as we know that you appreciate the time to talk with other businesses in the area, and please note that at the end of the conference members of the ATP as well as the team from VisitScotland Dumfries & Galloway will be on hand to answer any questions that you may have.

To ensure your attendance at the conference and at the workshops of your choice, please contact Tracy.Smeaton@visitscotland.com by Monday 25 Feb latest.
