VisitScotland Dumfries & Galloway are working hard to spread the word that Dumfries & Galloway is a must see, must visit destination through various local and national activities.
The Dumfries & Galloway participation in the golfing areas insert in the national Golf Mailing sent out in December worked well in generating over 1500 requests for our golf guide.
Participation in the walking areas insert in the national walking Mailing last spring - evaluation research has shown that 21% recall ordering the Dumfries & Galloway walks brochure after receiving the national pack; 27% went on to our website; 35% were inspired to visit. This is a great cost effective result from one of the ½ page panel spaces. It was great too that one of the lead images for the overall Scotland Walking campaign was a beautiful shot of Loch Ken.
Karen Wilson, Marketing Executive for VisitScotland Dumfries & Galloway says "Boosting the Dumfries & Galloway profile in relevant Scotland campaigns works well to increase our impact and reach first time customers to Scotland".
