2008 guides hot off the press

See & Do 2008
The popular See & Do 2008 is the essential guide to planning days out in Dumfries & Galloway and once again the handy features of colour coding, cross referencing to the double page map and the thematic sections, make it very easy to find your way about.
Karen Wilson, Marketing Executive says "Visitor feedback is always great on how user-friendly this guide is and that certainly makes all the work worthwhile. This year we've got even more stunning photography to show off the region and we have new features on Trails like the Border Reiver Trail; the Kirkconnel Geology Trail and the Solway Coast Heritage Trail to encourage our visitors to get out and about to explore every part of Dumfries & Galloway."
The Where to Stay Guide for 2008 is also packed with stunning photos, great reasons to visit and a fantastic range of places to stay. Delia Holland, Area Director says "We're delighted with the support from the local tourism businesses for these guides. There are 68 pages showcasing Dumfries & Galloway as a "naturally inspiring" region with great places to stay. Many tell us it's the best promotional tool they ever invest in."
For 2008, the first few pages of editorial tap into the popular interest in the Coast and Living in the country which portray the diversity of the area and the scenic "wows". Then the guide highlights the fantastic outdoor activities; the more creative side to the region plus our heritage, events and local food produce, followed by a comprehensive listing of accommodation including the more unusual options from wigwams to converted churches.
