Position your business better on the web

‘A weak link breaks the chain’ - If you want to increase traffic to your web site, the most important thing you can do is increase the number of links to and from your web site. This is called ‘link building’.

When the Search engines like Google and Yahoo look at your web site to see if it contains information relevant to customer searches it will look to see how many other web sites link to your web site and if the links out of your web site link to ‘related’ sites.  If these links are effective and relevant, the Search Engines will reward you with better positioning.  It is therefore beneficial to you and your local businesses to link as much as you can.

So, accommodation providers should get linking to visitor attraction web sites and visitor attractions, and when you are requested for a link, try and accommodate the link and request a link back to your site.  The more links your site has the more effective it will prove.

If you do not maintain the links on your web site then just ask your web designer to help, so if you are asked for a link you can accommodate the request.
