A winter break to write home about

Loch Skeen
VisitScotland Dumfries & Galloway has launched its Winter marketing campaign – and its ‘something to write home about’!
The campaign, launched this month, will continue into March 2007 and aims to boost winter occupancy for Dumfries & Galloway businesses as well as stimulate early bookings for 2007 through repeat and first time visits.
The campaign includes seasonal web pages, e-blasts and direct mail to both Dumfries & Galloway's potential and loyal customers as well as visitors who have visited Scotland but perhaps not Dumfries & Galloway before. The mail pack continues the award winning Travellers Tales theme launched last year, highlighting a collection of fascinating journeys to be had in Dumfries & Galloway which will give visitor ‘something to write home about’.
The ‘something to write home about’ mail pack has been designed with fold-out postcards highlighting special places and experiences for the winter to whet the appetite and give a taster of what you can do in the area. Postcards are written by our characters from autumn 05’s successful travellers' tales campaign with interests in gourmet, history, culture, outdoors.
