Ayrshire & Arran Tourism Conference
Tuesday 26 February 2008, Park Hotel, Kilmarnock, 9.45 am – 14.15 pm
This conference is aimed at everyone with an interest in tourism in Ayrshire & Arran and will highlight the progress of the Tourism Partnership. Interesting speakers will give you an insight into tourism practices and drivers both locally and nationally. You will also have the opportunity to network with other businesses and organisations and to question those who have spoken at the conference.
Professor John Lennon leads the Moffat Centre, UK’s largest University based consultancy and research centre. John has undertaken tourism and travel projects worldwide, is the author of seven books and over 100 articles on the travel and tourism industry. John is a specialist policy advisor to VisitScotland, a board member of the Scottish Tourism Forum and Springboard Scotland.
Our principal speaker, Michelle Mone, is the founder and co-owner of MJM International, a multi-million pound lingerie company. She speaks passionately about her struggle to succeed against all odds and provides practical advice to budding entrepreneurs. Everything Michelle does stems from her ethos of hard work and listening to her customer's needs.
Delegates will also be able to meet with other local tourism businesses and find out more about specific initiatives and opportunities.
