Promotional campaign targetting Ireland

VisitScotland Ayrshire & Arran will be promoting a romantic Scottish short break through Pigsback.com. The site offers great offers and rewards from favourite brands from a range of products including health & beauty, travel, music or shopping.

The campaign will be focussed in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The Pigsback.com audience is aged between 20-40 with a 60:40 ratio of women over men. The audience is internet proficient and sign up to www.Pigsback.com in order to receive special offers.

The VisitScotland Ayrshire & Arran Pigsback.com page directs people to www.ayrshire-arran.com and promotes short breaks. It also encourages visitors to request the new 2008 Accommodation Guide.

VisitScotland Ayrshire & Arran will run a competition to win a romantic break for 2 at the Western House Hotel from the 1 February until the 21 April. The competition will appear in the Travel and Weekender e-newsletter which goes out fortnightly to subscribers. They're crammed with some of the best travel and leisure offers so if the subscribers are looking for a romantic getaway they needn’t look any further than Ayrshire and Arran.

The www.Pigsback.com campaign will be complimented by an advert campaign on www.Google.com. This will be focussed in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. When selected words are typed into Google, a golf or short break Ayrshire & Arran advert will be appear at the top of the page. This link will draw people to www.ayrshire-arran.com short breaks, brochure request and golf pages.
